India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will join Nottinghamshire as their abroad player for six Area Title diversions from late June.
Ashwin, 32, will supplant Australia crease bowler James Pattinson, who is relied upon to be a piece of his nation’s Powder squad from July.
Off-spinner Ashwin recently played for Worcestershire in 2017.
“It’s a decent, focused standard of cricket over yonder and I can hardly wait to begin,” Ashwin said.
“I’m truly anticipating collaborating with Nottinghamshire, to playing cricket at a notorious setting like Trent Extension and ideally adding to some Region Title triumphs.”
Ashwin – India’s fourth most astounding Test wicket-taker with 342 – will begin his Notts stretch at home to Essex on Sunday 30 June, trailed by matches against Somerset and Surrey.
He will be inaccessible for Notts’ outing to Yorkshire on account of global duties with India, however, is relied upon to come back to confront Kent, Warwickshire, and Surrey in the last three matches of the Division One season.
